So, I was wondering, out of all Foretellers, Ira kind of stands out: His mask is the only one without yellow eyes, his mask is the only one that covers his chin, his animal is the only one that doesn't exist, and, if you think of a horse as the closest to an unicorn, he's also the only one whose animal is not a predator. And he's also at the top of the star with the Union symbols.

Do you think all these differences could be hinting at something special about him? The unicorn could be just a limitation of the Ancrene Wisse source (although Gula ignores those), but do you think they designed something about Ira simply because of the unicorn standing out?

I don't think this means anything special. He is just trying to save the world or at least reconcile the light and dark before hell breaks loose. The only thing that could be special about him is he is trying to create the seven lights to save the world and restore balance.

In X Back Cover, his mask is the only one that has red eyes too (though I wonder if that's just for artistic liberties). He also seems to have a direct feud with Aced too. As of right now, all of the Fortellers seem to be just as unique as each other so we can't really make any definitive conclusions yet.

Oh yeah, I forgot the red eyes is just a Back Cover retcon. This means he's the only one whose mask has the same eyes as those of his Union symbol in the original game. That could mean something.

Unicorns do exist

Well, there's nothing in particular that comes into my mind when thinking upon Ira's design. It is unique, but maybe that's just it! What you mentioned was interesting, though! Maybe there's some sort of secret to his appearance after all!

Who knows? Maybe. I always had a feeling about Ira in particular, that's why I chose the Unicornis union as my Union, he might just be the character I identify with most based on what we've seen so far. And the whole rebirth theory may have had something to do with it as well, but that means almost nothing if that doesn't turn out to be true.
