I wanted to sit around and mope but I figured that wouldn't really doing anything (thanks Final Fantasy 15). In reality sometimes I feel as if no one appreciates me as a person or values the things I do and I feel everyone goes through this period every so often, you don't feel good enough. Despite your best effort, nothing you do has any impact. It's easy to get caught up in your desires and reasons, but is it worth sitting around and moping? People make sacrifices everyday for your own happiness-your parents putting a roof over your own head and food on the table, your friends going out of their way to buy you a gift or lend you an umbrella when it rains, or your teacher spending hours after school to help you understand something. Will you really just stand around whilst others are busting their asses for your benefit?
Feeling unappreciated sucks, so what can you do about it? You can mope and feel sorry for yourself, or you can move forward and mature.
I don't seek instant gratification for everything, I do things because I want to, not because I desire everyone's applause. Hence why I joined the Social Media Team. Some people do things because they want acknowledgement and fame, but that quickly wares off because they realise the spotlight isn't as glamourus as it looks. Don't do things because they'll make you look 'cool' or give you some sort of power/authority over others. Do things because you want to, and do them to better yourself. Ask yourself this, is the person in the mirror someone you want your children to look up to? Be a role model. All bad things pass, but the longer you sit around moping the longer the bad things stay around.
