Theres no way that a game could live up to over 10 years of hype its impossible. Now it can still be a amazing title don't get me wrong on that

I agree completely, none the less it is a great game. But sometimes hype builds to much, for something to reach that height.

It's an amazing title for sure, but ten years of too much over the top, ridiculous hype and expectations, there is no way it can match it because hype of any kind, especially for this title, will never be matched. Still, FFXV is an amazing title and I think ten years of development was worth the wait.

Well.............honestly it was announced 10 years ago but actual development didn't even start until maybe like.......2011 when they finally had actual gameplay for once

The game we know as Versus XIII is dead so personally I'd judge XV without the ludicrous hype that a Square Enix fanboy would fall into and legitimately wait 10 years for a video game

Yeah, the comment sections of the ending of the game on Youtube are filled with those entitled people that keep screaming about how they've been waiting 10 years so the game should be 111111/10 and how Square Enix have had 10 years to make the game and write a decent ending etc etc. This will probably happen with Kingdom Hearts 3 too.

The story being condensed from the so called Versus 13 trilogy that Nomura had planned has resulted in certain parts of the plot disappearing. It needed another 5 to 10 hours story time.

I want to go crazy on the battle system and just play for hours more on end, but I've been playing it non stop this past week and if I force myself to play I'll hate the game. It's the best FF since 10 and I love it so much, but it has it's flaws with bits of the story. It makes me sad the bandwagon FF fans will just drop XVI because it may end up being ATB or not an ARPG like their beloved Kingdom Hearts...

I love the combat, it's a lot deeper than people are saying it is.

Anyway, more than anything I want to know where the franchise will go now. The Fabula Nova Crystallis is over, whatever XV was meant to be (FNC and steampunk ish) is over and now we can either get a new setting or go back. Since FF7 Remake is steampunk era, let's go back to Medieval era or just try something new with a new mythos! xD Or an FF6 setting with both.

I mean........Sure it's not the best Final Fantasy game...not by long shot, but is it a really good game?Absofiretruckinglutely

XV is a step in the right direction after a half decade of constant failures by Square Enix to rejuvinate the series which XIII miserably failed at....and the less we talk about the first version of FFXIV the better(THANK YOU BAHAMUT FOR DESTROYING IT xD)

Motomu Toriyama and Nomura tarnished the franchise with games like the XIII trilogy, the compilation of FFVII(Except Crisis Core by Hajime Tabata cuz it was firetrucking amazing) and the really early announcement of Versus XIII that should've never been revealed until 2013 to be honest

And despite the few missteps,Hajime Tabata brought the series back to it's roots and if the initial sales of XV is anything to go by he managed to renew the interest in Final Fantasy in the gaming populace

Sure I still think FFVII and IX are better but dammit I love Final Fantasy XV so much to care if it's better or not
