Hey guys, I was wondering do you think mickey got the kingdom key off of vanitas when him and Aqua beat him maybe when it broke, the two kingdom keys fell off?

i don't recall mickey obtaining the kingdom key, just the kingdom key D

If you played KH1, you would know that Mickey got the Kingdom Key D from the realm of darkness. Notice how Kingdom Key D is the opposite color of the Kingdom Key, thats because one is light and one is dark.

I wonder, what if when the X-blade broke, it split into the two kingdom keys that we see. Mickey's dark keyblade and Sora's light one. When the X-blade broke, maybe the two powers were sealed into the two keys and each were scattered off to find a place that it could rest, places that were both of absolute light and darkness. Since Mickey ventured into the realm of darkness, he obtained the kingdom key D from there. Since Sora was the one chosen to open the door to light, maybe the other keyblade came to him instead of to Riku because Riku tainted his heart with darkness.

That seems likely enough. Although I theorized it split into three in correspondence to the three realms with the third being way to dawn. Even though it sounds crazy it had a good amount of evidence. The one thing with these theories is that although they do have evidence, so far it has little importance.

The x-blade didn't break, it was wiped from existence thanks to the sacrifice of Ventus. The two kingdom keys on the X-blade no longer exist. Nice idea, but wouldn't work.

 

Mickey got the Kingdom Key D from the Realm of Darkness and the Kingdom Key D is the oposiote from the regular Kingdom Key. Finally I think the "D" in the Kingdom Key D means Darkness
