Hey there everyone, how's it going!?  So then, as you all undoubtedly must know, a few days ago, Lucasfilms finally revealed the title for Star Wars Episode VIII, and it'll be called The Last Jedi! Here I, The Friendly Neighborhood Webhead, discuss my thoughts on the title reveal! Enjoy! :D

So, what are your expectations for this film? Will it top all other Star Wars films before it? Will it be darker than Empire? Let me know what you think!

Well, I'm curious to see if it changes my usual trend of having the first movie of a SW trilogy as my favorite in that trilogy, but I'm not too sure what to expect. Setting the movie right after TFA instead of doing a time jump was a REALLY interesting choice, however, and I'm very excited about that change of pace (I think I actually prefer it. I feel like a lot of character development was lost in the previous ones by the long time jump. Though TCW fixed it between AotC and RotS, and the addition of Ahsoka really drove Anakin's character arc in RotS home. I still think RotS sucks, because it treats every character that isn't Anakin, Bail and Palpatine really badly, writing-wise, but TCW did make me include Anakin in that list).

We'll see if this continues the tradition of second Star Wars films and sleepiness. Empire put me to sleep when I was 4 and the last time I tried watching Attack of the Clones I went to bed because I was falling asleep on the movie. Let's hope I stay awake during this one.

Well, we'll have to wait and see for what big changes occur! And I agree! Setting the film right after the ending of The Force Awakens is an awesome step in the right direction, because for once in a numbered Star Wars film, we'll see continuity flow from one film to another in the span of mere moments instead of time skips! (And yeah, The Clone Wars was very well laid out, and it developed the story of Anakin and the Jedi Order during the conflict of the Clone Wars admirably! I loved the show to bits, and all the Easter Eggs peppered in throughout the seasons!) And well, I'm sure The Last Jedi will find a way to top The Force Awakens, of that I'm sure! :D

Huh, that is an odd tradition! You happening to sleep on the middle films in both trilogies is interesting! Let's hope The Last Jedi is the one to break that tradition! :D

Starring Tom Cruise!

Hah, I see what you did there! (The Last Samurai was such a good film! X_X)

Huh, Tom Cruise actually looks badass as a samurai armored Sith Lord! :D
