Hmm, this is pretty solid ground you're treading on!  It could be that Xehanort was not actually meant to have No Name, but then, wouldn't have I said so? I mean, with my eye seeing the future and all and me writing down what happens in my book, wouldn't I try to ensure Xehanort doesn't get the Keyblade? Or maybe there's certain things my eye couldn't see? It's all a mystery, really!

 

I'm sure that many things will be shed to light when the final confrontation with Xehanort comes around! :3

Or there was never a traitor to begin with and the MoM was just just trolling his students and forcing them to play a sick game of guess who.

Yeah that could be as well... Then maybe the Master, wanting to have fun, put up his students against each other and told them of the traitor - himself, and it was "inevitable" cause they'd never suspect him, at least not in time to stop the war.
