It must be for veterans and not new players.

That would explain the way they've been marketing this collection. No cool trailers, no eye catching box art, OK pre-order bonus (even though they have done this before, but still). Does anyone else think this is true? The only way I could see a trailer happening, is right before the game comes out.

The game cannot be designed for any demographic specifically since it is just a remaster of a remaster, whoever buys it just buys it.

No I don't. They wouldn't put it all on one console if it's for veterans only. That makes no sense actually. They wouldn't have bothered then. HD1.5+2.5, HD2.8, and KH3 all on one console and that is for veterans. I sense something wrong with this logic.

I feel that if they had new comers in mind they should market it as such like they did for 1.5 and 2.5. But they haven't done anything for the game and it might not sell as well because of that, unless you knew about before hand it might fly under the radar.

I fear that in about 4-5 years (if KH3 has come out by then)  there will be a Ultimate of all ultimate Kingdom hearts boxes coming out with all games in one.... and I am still going to buy it I hate to love this series.

Anyway considering that the first game came out 15 years ago its possible that these remastered boxes are also meant for Parents with their children

If it was for veterans, 1.5 and 2.5 on PS4 wouldn't be a thing. It's advertized like this because there's nothing left to show that wasn't already shown before. For what other reason would the HD collections be ported to the same console that has 2.8 and 3 if it isn't to fix glitches and get more people interested in the series?

Not really, not everybody had a ps3 but bought a ps4 because of 3/2.8, I can think of a few people who did this. Nomura said that they were adding some stuff to them and they could show off the 60fps and higher res. because unless you read his tweets or interview someone might not know that it's a thing. Only people who played 1.5 and 2.5 would know about the glitches and also were apart of asking for a ps4. If it was for new comers try a pull them into the series through advertisement. Also, they would put them on Xbox too. 1.5 and 2.5 were advertised for both crowds but with more focus on the newer crowd, whereas 2.8 wasn't and was geared towards long time fans, showing of spoilers of 3D.

Not everyone has a PS3 and there are those that only have a PS4. It's also to consolidate and bring all up to speed for new fans.

Well, I'm sure that a week, or just days before the game releases, a launch trailer will show up on Youtube, but really, this is just a port of the ReMixes for PS4, so I'm sure that people will notice this eventually, since they'll notice the ReMixes are now available on the PS4, ya know? I'm sure it'll sell well! :)

It's future-proofing. They'll market the hell out of 3. Then when newcomers see that, they'll go "oh, what about the games that come before it?" then they'll see this, it'll be on the same system, and boom. Easy money.
