I think Platinum was the last version to feature decent looking Pokemon.

These Black and White version Pokemon are eyesores. The starters look terrible, the only Pokemon in this game that don't make my eyes want to puke are the two cover legendaries, Zekram and Reshiram.

 

What are your thoughts on the new Pokemon being added to the series over the years?

I completely agree. There are very few that I like in the two most recent generations. Personally, I think they have enough pokemon. They should just make a game with all the regions in it, one big story line, and then be done. Though I doubt Nintendo would end one of its biggest money makers anytime soon.

That would actually be a good idea. If they add all of the Pokemon from Gen. I-IV, in a huge region, with a perfect storyline, and couple of new Pokemon (just to add some flavor, but not too many), then it would be a perfect ending game for one of the best game series of our time.

 

But, knowing Nintendo, we'll probably have Pokemon games named after food before they decide to end the series.

But, as I can see from the Black and White versions, they are really running out of ideas.

 

The villain team this time is called "Team Plasma". Meh.

 

The ONLY good thing about this game is the improved roaming. The cities look awesome.

But now, they have 3 on 3 Pokemon battles and crap. Pokemon has been shot, and it's about to get shot again if Nintendo decides to make a "Gray" version.

I stopped playing pokemon when I got pearl. Not because I grew older but because it's just aweful. The story is crap, the pokemon look like they were thought up by 5 year olds, and it feels the same as all the other pokemon games.

Yeah they really need to stop kinda depressing from being soo awesome then to these 3 and 4th generations pokemon are just not good.

I stopped caring after Firered/Leafgreen. They were the last good games, imo.

I stopped playing after playing Pokemon Platinum. I guess it was a part of getting older, and also the plot was just basicially the same

I quit about two seconds after turning on Pearl.

the last time i saw pokemon was around...2000 or 2001. somewhere around there. i stopped seeing it 'cause of how awesome it kept getting.

 

all i remember is pikachu, ash, brock, &...misty? eff my memory.

but, yes, they're getting uglier. pokemon, in general, is getting stupider.

 

EDIT; i didn't notice we were talking about the games o.o; err...i've only played platinum, i think. i never understood them. but then again, i was 8...

4th Gen Pokemon was terrible, no denying that (D/P/P) And yeah, the Pokemon designs are getting worse by the generation. They even have a trashcan Pokemon now, it's disappointing but hey they've got a few hundred Pokemon, there's not alot more ideas they can use that are creative and make the Pokemon designs look great.

 

Excluding designs the latest main Pokemon games Black and White redeem the series for the terrible 4th generation and somehow recapture the magic of the first and second generation of Pokemon games.
