I'm not one to be particularly picky when it comes to abbreviations, but sometimes, a shortened word or an acronym can just get on my nerves.
The most prominent of these is the term, "Fosrs".
"Forsrs" is the shortened version of "For Serious.", and the question this raises is simple...
If you're actually serious, why do you not spell the full word?
I've had people who in arguments or in conversation have used this term when they're actually trying to get a point across, and when they do, I completely lose faith in that person. Because, if you don't show enough attention, devotion, or care, to spell a full word on a "Serious" discussion, then shame. Shame... Shame... shame.
I just felt the need to touch on this. Because it is something that bugs me... as is the use of "lol".
"L.O.L.", or, "Laugh out Loud". Is a term that has been used since a long time ago. Seriously... it was like... born alongside the internet. And has been overused, and beaten into the ground since then.
I mean, its okay on occasion... but when it's used in practically every post you make. (Or in the sad case of IRL, in every sentence... yes. I know people who use "lol" as a word in their daily vocabulary.). Then thats a sad fact indeed.
Some instances of hilarity can only be described or given justice in a string of coherent words. Not a brief series of letters...
I just had to let these out. For they keep me awake at night. And make me sad...
