Started my copy of FFXV, and I have a few questions

Posted

Just started my copy of FFXV yesterday. I'm at level 4 getting close to level 5, met Ardyn at night at the Galdin Quay resort (which was a little weird to see given how that moment is always in daylight whenever I see others do playthroughs of FFXV), my fishing skill is still level 1 but I can do a few more rounds, and just about ready to go on the ferry that Dino the reporter has gotten for me.

Now I downloaded the free version of the Moogle Chocobo Carnival and I REALLY want to try it out and get the Dream Egg so I can get the Assassin's outfit for when I download the Assassin's Festival. Do I have to get Noctis at a certain level to go to the Carnival? And does anyone know some good grinding spots around the Hammerhead to Galdin Quay areas where I can level up quickly?

I REALLY want to do the Carnival and I've read that it goes away again near the end of September. As I stated above, I've already downloaded the Carnival, but will it not be accessible after September even though I've already downloaded it?

Any help you can give is welcomed.

To access the carnival all you have to do is go to the game's start menu and go to special the carnival should still be there.

Ok. And it should still be there and be accessible after September, when the event is supposed to end? I just want to make sure that I don't miss it.

Somewhere in September I believe.

Ok, thanks. Do I have to be at a certain level before doing the carnival? Or can I just go ahead and do it no matter what level I am?

Nope no need to be at a certain level. you can just start it up. All you need to do is select a file that you want carnival stuff to go to.

Oh! Last question, I promise  : Can you still save like normal while you're in the Carnival?

The game will receive an update with the AC event and will remove the Chocobo one, if you want the egg do it before the end of this month or else you'll miss it for good. You can do it in a couple of hours, you'll need 50 moggle coins to buy a ticket and go the hotel and that's it.

Oh whoa! Thanks! I just started last night and got around 30 some moogle coins so far. It shouldn't take too much longer for me to get the rest. Thanks again!

So the Assassin's Creed event, it'll just automatically be there in the Special tab in place of the Carnival without needing to download it? Or do I download it and THEN it'll replace the Carnival?

There's no way to be 100% sure until they release it but they'll probably release a free content update that your system would download once it connects to the internet(or you'll do it once you lunch the game if you have the automatic downloads turned off) that would replace the chocobo one under the special menu with the AC one.

Ok the festival is here (along with other new features like a bestiary and a chapter select), it didn't replace the Chocobo festival (yet, but it will be removed at the end of September) and it will be available until January of next year.

I would avoid the Chapter Select for now.  If you use it to switch around between Chapters and then go back to your original save file, all your side-quest and hunt progress will be lost.  You would have to start them all over, again.

Even a manual save? Or it only messes with the autosaves? Either way thanks the heavens I didn't touch that one yet (not that I intend to anyway...)
