sorry if thread like this and spoiler i think well if vanitas comes back which i think he is will the unversed come back since he was the person who could spawn them (this is a question i hope reversal will answer)

If Vanitas comes back, so will the Unversed, they all come from him, and feed off negitive atuitude

no Vanitas is now combined with Ventus and Ventus' heart is "sleeping" inside of sora. When ventus/vanitas merged, they merged for good. Vanitas will not return unless Ventus' heart awakes from slumber and someone seperates his light from darkness again.

thanks for the info

Well, I'm flattered, but there's really not much for me to say ^^

I definitely believe that some part of Vanitas does live on. If we were to take this outside of the box, in order for Ven to return, the true Ven that is, he would need his other half. Say for example, Nobodies, which as you know, are Somebodies without their hearts, in most cases. This missing component alone made them different beings both literally and metaphorically. What I'm getting at is, if Ven's heart were to be mended without the existence of his missing half (Vanitas), then he would essentially be a different person from the one we know, and that wouldn't really be truly mending his, uh...hurt. (I feel stupid every time I say that xD) This is just a theory though, but it's some interesting food for thought ^^

Theoretically, should Vanitas return, then the Unversed, being extension of him, should do so as well. After all, "they are what he feels- a hoard of fledgling emotions under his control." If he for some odd reason, can no longer feel emotions (and to do that, then you would need to lose your heart), then yeah, the Unversed would no longer exist. But since Vanitas is literally a heart of pure darkness in physical form, that would be unlikely.

tl;dr - Yes, Vanitas' return should also bring back the Unversed. Yes, I also think he will return.

Except that if Vanitas did merge with Ven, then his heart shouldn't be incomplete, and yet it is. Vanitas was destroyed, and purged from Ven's heart (you can tell because prior to his defeat, the Awakening platform featured both Ven and Vanitas, but afterwards, only Ven remained.) Because of this, without the existence of his other half, Ven's heart was no longer able to survive detached on its own, and he had to follow his connection with Sora to him instead, and take shelter with Sora's heart.

oh thanks and it would be cool for sora to fight unverse if they return (they will)

I do not think vanitas will come back: i think vanitas was supposed to encompases "a dark being" where Ventus was "a light being." I believe that if vanitas comes back it will be probably a manifestation of him much like the lingering spirit.

MF gave the Vanitas' spirit some importance so I am 100% sure he will return.

Never thought of it that way, but yeah that is true, kinda makes his lingering sentiment more of a purpose I guess.

Now that you said this, I'm starting to believe that Vanitas's lingering spirit could be what's left of Vanitas. I think that maybe right before Ven destroyed Vanitas, he could've used the last of his power to creat one last unversed, which would be the lingering spirit. I think Sora will have to let the lingering spririt become part of Ven's heart, and then Ven will have to defeat it another kind of mental struggle in his heart and learn to control his darkness, kinda like what Riku did with Ansem SOD.

Possibly. It's still up in the air as to whether or not VS is actually canon, so anything could happen :D
