A friend of mine sent this to me and I haven't seen anyone talking about it. What could this mean? Is the Keyblade Graveyard the ruins of the Scala Ad Caelum? If so is more Time Travel involved? Did Kingdom Hearts bring this world back? What do you guys think?

I'm honestly not sure how to feel about this theory. On one hand, it could explain why she knows about the Keyblade War and why Ava reminds everyone of Kairi but at the same time there's the possibili

I guess you meant "Is the Keyblade Graveyard the ruins of Scala Ad Caelum". And that's definitely an interesting observation your friend made. I think it's probably that. As for Time Travel being invo

  • Nice catch there! Could be that the world where Lea is located is like the ruins of Scala ad Caelum and then Xehanort returns it to its former glory.

Sort of like what Aqua did with Land of Departure and turning it into CO?

Sort of? I got the impression when Aqua transformed the Land of Departure that it was something past keyblade masters had developed for that world alone. But then again that's just an impression.

Using kingdom hearts seems like the better option especially since we know that Master Xehanort is going to summon it.

If the Keyblade Graveyard is related to Scala ad Caelum I really hope time travel is not involved. Time travel has created a lot of problems in this series since DDD. I hope instead it's just a restoration via Kingdom Hearts.

I highly doubt we'll be time travelling in kh3 for a single world. Unless scala ad caelum is just for the final boss or something.

Maybe like the world being set in the future and Sora somehow gets sucked into the future for that world and has to beat Xehanort and the Seekers just to return to his own time.  That sounds like the plot for Samurai Jack.

So sora can just freely go back to his time whenever and go back to the past just for one world? That don't sound like something they would do.

He could remain stuck in Scala Ad Caelum until he defeated Xehanort.  I would like to see how Nomura handles Scala Ad Caelum.

So after credits role you can freely visit the world and stuff? Could work i guess.

It's possible but I doubt it.  It might be similar to KH2 where you have to go in front of the door and talk to Riku or Mickey before going behind that door to confront Xemnas.

Except behind the door is an entire world? If they do it like that then there probably won't be chests and random encounters. At that point it might as well not even be called a world in my opinion.

Maybe dimension is a more fitting word.

I see where you're going with this but I don't think that'll be the case. Though to be fair nothing would surprise me when Nomura is concerned.

We already had time travel and it screwed things up plus it makes things more complicated. Adding the concept of dimensions is similar to time travel in that it complicates things overly.

The way I see it Scala ad Caelum is going to be either the final world, or Xehanort transforms the Keyblade Graveyard into Scala ad Caelum sometime mid game so there's a chance to explore it.

Though how Xehanort was able to transform the Keyblade Graveyard into Scala Ad Caelum.  Maybe Sora was sort of the key to activating the Scala Ad Caelum transformation, he was the only one we saw facing off against Xehanort and the other twelve Seekers.

The question is when was Scala Ad Caelum created? I'm trying to figure out if it was just always there or restored.

That's a good question.  Is it Kingdom Hearts itself?

So if scala ad caelum is a past version of the keyblade graveyard, wouldn't that date it to before unchained x?

Perhaps so, the story of UX is puzzling.  We don't know how the Keyblade Graveyard came into being nor MX's obsession with it.

That's what I was thinking. Xehanort said something like "What was once" meaning this place is old...OLD.

Has anyone noticed that Scala as Caelum looks similar to the fortress on Vanishing Isle except there are more buildings, windmills everywhere and the roofs are purple and not gold?

I noticed that Scala Ad Caelum has windmills on each of its level.  I don't know if that means anything.

Eh...maybe they use it as an energy source lol

Probably but there is usually some deep meaning behind some world's architecture.  Scala ad Caelum is also brighter than most of the final worlds we have gotten in KH1 and KH2.
