What other direction could the story have gone to?

Posted

Taking Kingdom Hearts 1 as the starting point. In what other ways could the story have developed? What are your guesses or in which direction would you have taken it if it was your creation? Or is it perfect to you the way it is? Should there be a spin off series that has nothing to do with the original series and stands on its own like the way command and conquer did with red alert? Lets hear it.

Well, I remember when I finished the first game I assumed that the sequel would revolve around Sora, Donald and Goofy trying to find a way into the Realm of Darkness to save RIku and the King. Which I guess is still kind of what happened because Sora begged Saix to let him into the realm of darkness after the 1000 Heartless Battle. I certainly didn't expect the series to become as complex as it is now, but at the same time I'm not complaining.

Yeah, something I've always wondered is what world that field is in. Like is that part of the Land of Departure/Castle Oblivion world or is it just some kind of in-between world?

I always assumed it was some world in between.  I wish I could have explored it and those roads that Marluxia used to lead Sora, Donald and Goofy to CO.

Yeah me too. Where do those roads lead? Could they lead to other Keyblade Wielders' homeworlds by any chance?

Who knows, they might lead nowhere just to an invisible wall.  I am not sure if Nomura or his staff thought of the other worlds that would connect from those roads.

Well, here's hoping that they did. That could be an interesting way to expand the universe of Kingdom Hearts. Those roads must lead somewhere.

I just hope we get to visit those green pastures again.

Actually Sora was begging to see Kairi, as the dialogue shows.
