I guess Nomura might feel really bad about the KH3 leaks we have to deal with, so that may be a reason why he may push it back a few days earlier. I'm not saying it's going to happen, just saying it's a possibility. okay now, IF the game does end up being pushed back some (even though I have huge doubts), I'm thinking this Saturday (1/26/2019) may be the new release date for the WW release of the game because that's when the game will be able to be preloaded on PS4s outside of Japan. I'm having huge doubts about this because they've been showing that release date for quite a while now and changing the release date, especially when we are so close to release would be weird, at least to me.

I think this tweet is more referring to any future plans for the series or future titles he works on as a whole. Something that he has more control over. He can’t really suddenly say “Release date is pushed forward! Let them eat cake!” Kind of thing in regards to the current release, especially with global only being less than 5 days away. He would anger a lot of people that ordered physical copies and got theirs well after digital sales, or even if the team allowed brick and mortar retailers to sell it in advance now, but the other sources (online orders, digital, etc.) had to wait that would cause the same issue.

the way the tweet is worded made me think more of KH3 than future titles. What you said makes a lot of sense though.

As much as I wish we could get the game earlier, I think this is more accurate to the situation. I imagine an earlier release is possible, since most retailers probably have the copies in now. But I think at this point it wouldn't really make that big of a difference. The game was still leaked, plot points have been revealed, cutscenes are out in the wild. All in all, it's done. They can't undo it, so they'll probably just proceed as normal. 

Now, that being said I certainly would not complain if they did decide to release the game early.

Changing the release date is not as easy as a flick of a finger, especially when the worldwide release is just days away. What about the midnight launch events throughout the entire world? The shipments? The Square Enix company themselves? This is affecting every single store and company associated with the release of the game. All of the plans and schedules would need to be changed.

I'm sorry to say this, but it's physically impossible to change release date now. 0% chance.

The release date is so close that it shouldn't matter anyways. Can't wait for Tuesday!
