My friend and I were talking yesterday and he told me about the possibility of Sora being in a future Smash Brothers game. He claims to have read an article online about it. I don't know what that article is so I can't really confirm the legitimacy of things. It makes sense that Sora will be added because of Square's relationship with Nintendo now.

 

Here is what I know so far... (Please note that I don't know if this is 100% correct)

 

The new SSB game will be for the regular Wii. Not the 3D Wii that Nintendo plans to make.

 

Sora will be included.

 

Sora will be a lot like a combination of Ike and Ness. Sora will be able to hit with his keyblade as well as do some lower damage magic spells such as fire.

 

Right now, the final smash of Sora will be his Master form. I don't know much about this. My guess is that it will be a lot like Sonic's final smash only Sora won't be flying around a lot.

 

There will also supposedly be helper crystals for Donald and Goofy. I don't know what they do yet. My guess is that Donald hits people with spells and that Goofy will probably hit people with his shield or be some kind of defense for the player.

Uhhh... well some sqare enix charaters are in it, no?

like, maybe a summon?

Here's what I think. I think his specials should be more magic based, but his regular arsenal be more attack based.

 

Standard Special - Magic Cast (he shoots out a random projectile of magic)

Side Special - Strike Raid - Hurls the keyblade, and it comes back like a boomerang

Up Special - Ragnarok combo (without the zappy laser thing at the end)

Down Special - Reflect - Reflects Projectiles

 

Up Smash - Magnet - Sucks enemies in for multiple hits and then shoots em out

Down Smash - Eruption - He plants the keyblade in the ground and the crystals surround him

Side Smash - Holds keyblade with both hands and peirces the keyblade forward with a light sweetspot on the tip

 

I also made an entire moveset out of my geekness, but I won't share all of it.

wierd i though that if he ever was in ssmb his final smash would be ragnarok or something but i guess that would be kh1 sora ?

If Disney doesn't want them in Dissidia, why would they want them in SSB?

Sora was in a vote to be in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but lost to Snake. So unless they do something like this in the future, and Sroa wins, I don't see him being in a SSB game.

 

Pretty much everything is speculation, and I am fairly sure that Nintendo hasn't said anything about a 3D Wii (they wouldn't do that, not every can afford one of those crazy expensive tvs). They haven't even said anything about the next SSB game. I am afraid that whatever your friend told you is purely speculation and make believe.

Them being Nintendo doesn't really make a difference. I mean, Nintendo is to Smash Brothers as Square Enix is to Dissidia. Saying "our characters will work in SSB because it's Nintendo" is just like saying "characters will work in Dissidia because it's SE", which is opposite to what they've said. What matters is the genre of the games, which in both cases is characters beating up on each other, which Disney doesn't want as an environment for their classic characters.

Along with the announcement of the 3DS Nintendo has stated that after the 3DS is completed they are hoping to begin production on a 3D Wii. I read it in Yahoo! article over half a year ago.

 

 

 

 

Pretty much everything is speculation, and I am fairly sure that Nintendo hasn't said anything about a 3D Wii (they wouldn't do that, not every can afford one of those crazy expensive tvs).

 

I was thinking that it would be more like the 3DS which doesn't require glasses. But only time will tell.

Possibly. I tried searching for evidence but I couldn't find anything reliable so I posted this in speculation. I hope it is true but it is most likely made up for now. I will continue searching for evidence whether it is there or not.

Truth be told, the only assist trophy I can see happening is Riku... and as for Final Smash, Final Form. It's final-ly enough for the job! Nothing against Donald or Goofy, but I just don't want them to be in the smash bros, meaning that the Trinity couldn't be the final smash. Final form could like, boost his power, and alter some attacks (aga types of all magic casts, strike raid with two keyblades on each side, ragnarok with lasers, stuff like that). And there's also a slight chance that anti form will occur, thus making his attacks weaker, albeit faster. And he takes more damage. That's my 2 cents.

There's your problem. You randomly read something and assumed it was fact. Nintendo has never said anything about making a 3DW Wii.

A game console can't just magically make a TV screen 3D. Unless you're impying the Wii 3D comes with its own TV.

If Sora did have a Final Smash, i would think it should be Anti-Form, that was just overkill, and Final/ Master Form were just meh to me, plus they wouldn't have Master Form, Master Hand would feel betrayed and get angry and B**CH SLAP Sore in the face several times for stealing the name (Although, Sora, Donald and Goofy could do the Pokemon Trainer-like Final Smash and have them use Blizzaga, Firaga and Thundaga or something like that.)

 

And 3DWii, really, just....... no, just no. Looking at a Yahoo! article from over a year ago basically means it's going to be fake, it's almost guaranteed to be, everybody seems to put fake information on Yahoo!, it's like the less known version of Wikipedia

Well in Smash Bros, for third party characters, they take the main character of the series only. only! That means that only Sora would qualify for Smash Bros.

Unless they want to advertise a new main character for a game, in theory. For example, TAV could have been candidates, to advertise BBS.

Thanks for clearing that up. But Nintendo did mention being interested in a 3D Wii but I think they dropped that idea very fast. Which is why no one knows what the heck I am talking about.
