I think so. But also KH3 was made as a game to bring in new fans, that much is obvious

First mainline KH game in years, new generation of console, putting it on Xbox and then going hard with Disney and advertising, + making game easier. They really wanted to get new fans in here

Which makes sense. But I think given time constraints and engine switch it all got a bit much and came at expense of more original things
