Currently watching my cousin play KH3 for the first time, the scene direction in Olympus is leagues better than a ton of other places in the game

Sora's voice is more deeper too

Which I definitely prefer

Meg and Herc, and Sora's looking great, also mount Olympus

I've been converted to the Olympus is good train

KH is always a different game when you watch it vs when you play it

Ofc, but I'm mainly just appreciating how well Olympus does as a starting world

It's on point with its set up, and you dive into a Riku section straight afterwards, this is the type of tempo that should have been kept up throughout the game

I still maintain it could have had the same tempo but then you'd get lots of filler cutscenes

Well, like I say, filler can be good

In terms of KH filler, it is good

FF characters are good filler, original worlds are good filler, all of this stuff should have been expanded upon here

Anything to add some character into the game. They did it well with SDG

but yeah I would be fine with more filler

But that's also my point as well

Kh3 would have gotten many complaints for filler cutscenes like that

I would have loved them, but the overall consensus most likely would have been bad due to the fact KH3 already had a lot of plot to fill in

But KH3 did the bare minimum, and hey, it still didn't wrap up as well as some of us wanted

So in either situation, what you would have had is either a game with too much character interaction and not enough plot progression
Or what we have now with little Disney world interaction and a focus on just shoving plot in our face

What we got is a straight A to B plot with the literal bare minimum to keep it moving. When it comes to OG/FF filler, it's rarely treated as filler by the fanbase because it's so well integrated into the characters progression, as you say
