If you just use magic then it does, but mixing it doesn't always work

That's an issue I will agree on, but not on the other one

If you used magic with normal attacks, it wouldn't always give it to you

The magic you used most would give that grand magic

I think finishers were prioritised higher

I don't mind reaction commands coming back in certain situations to give us cool sequences like the building slashing Miggle loves so much, but I don't want them being an all emcompassing system again where near every enemy has a triangle attached to it

However.... Nobodies need them

It feels so wrong fighting dusks without reversal

Especially when they move the same as in KH2

Well see everything is unnecessary, a better way to put it as, they're not the most optimal way to deal with heartless, whereas they usually are for nobodies

The reaction commands tied to samurais or dusks etc were far better than cyclone or some shit

Too much attached to one system, yeah I agree. In that you build up these arrows to get something you don't have full control over.

KH3 is balanced for mob fights, hence, almost everything is an AOE nuke

Well that's the other thing tbh

What about the focus gauge slash?

Couldn't that be tied to team attacks

The focus gauge is used for just one thing which is crazy

We can definitely repurpose that
