Well, we still have support for GTS in Gen. VI and Gen. VII and I don't think it relies on the PGL since we're able to do certain things online w/o having to Game Sync.

my printer has told me that it has been low on black ink for the entire semester, but it's still not out yet

Other than Battle Spot information and event codes from it, PGL was pathetic after Gen. V.

The attempt at having minigames in Gen. VI that beared much significance was poor.
