curious, was anyone else taught how to write cursive as a child?

I find it useless tbh, and it makes things harder to read but it's a skill nonetheless

Ehh mine is nothing special, just my initial with a squiggle over the top

Yeah I was taught around year 2/3

My dad called it script but the school called it cursive.

It's main use is for signatures.

That handwriting literally looks like shit, and it just makes people's writing worse in the long run when they inevitably just use spaced letters

Some people's handwriting is neater in script/cursive.
