I used to like Star Wars as a kid, but the fandom kind of ruined it for me. I made the mistake of joining a Star Wars forum in the early 2000s when I first got an internet connection. I was 13 and mercilessly bullied for saying I liked episode 1.

Internet consensus is a scary thing

I spoiled myself on the sequels via Wikipedia.

I just can’t enjoy any Star Wars film at all anymore due to that experience.
