What was it that didn't make you understand

well it's like

there's such an absurdly high amount of lasting characters that I can't keep track of in any way. That, alongside with one time characters just add on to a pile of people that are either not remotely engaging or just feel like too much. There's too little focus on a lot of these characters outside of the Strawhats because of the sheer amount of them

and that makes it hard to give a shit about most of the characters

that, and the amount of powers, intricate affairs, basically everything is just a lot

i was only able to coherently follow Luffy's character and some other Strawhats to a degree but even then, it was just too much to keep track of

odd comparison but, it's almost like if KH had triple of quadruple the amount of concepts and characters, which is why it confuses me

i only vaguely recall some big events in one piece and that's kinda it
