Ann as an example never got a moment to shine after Yusuke's dungeon

Ryuji got one after saving everyones asses in the semi-final dungeon

But then he got beat up right after for no reason so that went out the window

Hmm. So from what I'm getting, you want all character moments to tie into the main story

I want the confidant ones to do that, yes

I want them to matter in some ways

Ann was a weird character for me
Everybodies costumes represent them to some degree, same with their personas

But Ann is never really painted as a dominatrix type character imo

I completely disagree with that tbh

Makoto was the weirdest one

From her design to her name

firetruck the name Queen, completely ruins the phantom thieves motif

If they were to do that, it would make them feel far less individual and worthwhile

To me anyway

How does it make it less worthwhile tho? Let's say you are a first timer like me and I am not 100% the game, I am just going with my gut on the characters I liked and maxing them out

All that time I invested on Ryji, Ann and Yusuke never mattered again

We did the confidant story and then it was jackshit

Never talked again in the game, and their stories were never mentioned

I mean you could hang out again but you get the same basic lines as usual

There's nothing different

The confidant stories themselves were more than enough than me tbh. I don't need all the links to be broadcasted into the main story

And I am not saying all of them should

But the main cast definitely needs to

Especially as most of them never get anything again after their own stories in the dungeons

Like in the main story, I loved how everyone had their own arcs cordoned off and even the ones who aren't focused on still showed growth. The confidant links are more intimate versions of learning them that I think reflecting in the main story would feel less impactful

Like the links would feel less special to me individually if they were reflected in the main story through the main cast

I am really not getting your thought on it being less impactful

I am not saying the confidant stories to change the main one completely

I am just saying to acknowledge

Make them feel more special

And not just tossed away to the side for amount of time you wasted on it

The casting for this show has been so gooooooooood
