chaos;head is what led me into visual novels

it was really coincidental honestly. The anime for chaos;head was so awful

oh ho

but i heard murmurings about the visual novel and how it was different from the anime

and i got curious

and then after playing it, i realized how the anime completely changed and took out stuff from the source material

and it feels like it's not even an adaption

really got me into looking and reading source materials from then on

anime is mostly to promote the source material at the end of the day

what really got me tho

for a long time

is that i had no idea this was related to steins;gate

and then i began to learn how steins;gate overshadows the other like 6 entries of the series

solely because it got a good anime adaption

a lot like a certain scientific railgun and magical index

railgun is the well liked and more popular one despite being a spinoff

while magical index is the source material where railgun comes from

and magical index is so mixed in regards to its anime reception

that's another show ive heard many things about

it's called the to aru series

it's a firetrucking huge undertaking lol

so much shit

there's magical index which is the original source material Light novel that is still ongoing btw

railgun came out afterwards and is a spinoff to index

then there's 2 other somewhat recent spinoffs

one of which got its own anime adaption

it's a mess

you can only watch railgun if you want

it's mostly self contained

yeah ive told myself that one day but not today for that one

the Index anime is very mixed with how its adapted from the source material

in railgun, you know the main girl right?

she's firetrucking everywhere lol

she's a heroine in magical index

while in railgun, Touma, the main character of Index makes brief appearances

timeline wise, they're kinda parallel to a point

the first OP for Railgun and the first OP for Index actually both have the same exact shot

but from different perspectives

huh that's pretty cool

but why split up the series?
