A semester term goes from August - December with a month break then January - May
Trimester is like August - October, break November - January, break, Feb- May

So I figured Summer vacation could be a couple of months.

I still call them terms, I've Been saying it for all my school life and I haven't adapted yet to semester ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

All schools here work in autum/spring/summer term
Autumn is Sept to Dec
Spring is Jan to March
Summer is April to July

Uni works along those lines too

Except we rarely have teaching in summer, it's almost always exams

But for some reason they still try to call them semesters in uni ?

Well, I guess you could call the spring term winter term but idk, I guess it never really stuck

He constantly day dreams about being a musician and is so down about becoming a fast food worker.

He probably has some college degree, but some degrees (i.e. AS in Liberal Arts) are just stepping stones to higher degrees that are not sufficient to get someone into a related career alone.

i only did it cuz it's the only degree i could see myself doing
