I normally flip flop between the two but I figure, as long as he's sashed who cares about defense

It's nice if you have a mixed Attacker (physical and Special).

You're setting up a glass cannon, but Raichu is low Defense and would likely go down in one hit anyway.

At least it has the advantage of being quicker.

Jolly could work if you only want a Physical Attacker and want to prioritize/bank on the high Speed stat.
