We spent like a month going through to kill a mockingbird and that's like a quarter of the size

Good way to recognize the history that went on and learn how NOT to behave

Frankly, I'm not entirely certain how anyone can see Huck Finn as problematic

When it paints racists in a very negative light

The language is definitely crude for sure, but again, it's also true of the time

It's not an inaccurate depiction, and if that makes people uncomfortable maybe it's a good thing

Just an accurate representation of how cruel on obscene the people in that particular area where at the time

Because at least you don't see the events as justified or anything

and yet schools have debates year after year whether or not to teach it or not

We never learnt it either personally, but we had a lot of other books and did similar stuff like mice and men and to kill a mockingbird so at least I can say it wasn't because of agenda
