That time just before new 52 was one of the worst dc times

Personally tho I think my favourite dc era is 90s-mid 00s

I just really like a lot of continuity

And rebirth filled that hole for me, but new 52 felt really bare bones

Yeah beginning of rebirth is unmatched for me

Mine is pretty modern but I have read some old stuff that is good

Although I will say the beginning of Rebirth was fantastic
