The problem here is that the government is cutting the BBCs budget while increasing the TV licence and are pocketing most of the money for themselves

On balance the BBC is one of the most impartial broadcasters.

You are looking at this purely from a personal perspective but the amount of work the BBC puts into documentaries like David Attenboroughs stuff is vital. Whether you think so or not all of it educates people who otherwise wouldn't be

And the children's channels, particularly cbeebies, are brilliant for the development of nursery kids

even if you use bbc iplayer, you need a tv license

They're starving both of money and subsequently both services are lacklustre, which easily leads to public dissatisfaction. And therefore dismantling these integral services will be much easier for the government
