Like one of the servers I admin is b/c I self-host the bot after being asked to check up on her w/ along w/ other friends. Then she asked for me to help w/ a server launch and to set up a bot w/ another friend. We were worried about her possibly cutting herself and getting involved w/ an abusive ex again, so the answer wasn't difficult to follow through. It was supposed to be drama-free as part of the theme (another one being Pokémon), but ironically delved into that and made too open w/ the Discordservers bot. Bot owner privilege was even shared, but she left the server. At least she was doing better w/ a new job, telling her ex off, and making new friends she mentioned to me after. Server activity there from users is a bit dismal now. Today is that server's second anniversary.

Is money an issue for you now tho, Mup? Starting with a part time job would be great for experience

And after a few months, you can try getting another job again

Which might be easier as you have more experience to talk about

Maybe they want him to build up experience and start low before giving him something bigger.

At least they don't expect him to relocate w/ something that is only part time.

Yeah, that's possible too

@Mupstun that's the trend unfortunately
Many people do contract to hire positions which can be a pain in the butt

I'm with ya, if you got the ability you should be able to work full time

Just set my bot's status message to mention her birthday. xD

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong but if you do get a full time one, take that one immediately

It's like a probationary period.

i mean the money would be nice. especially the area i'm in. if they start me at 75k that is damn nice for my area

Some start employers out as temporary contract workers for some months before deciding to the main company decides to hire them full on.

it's just i will be exhausted

and i'm just trying to get out of where i'm currently at... at all costs lol

A bit risky if going through an employment agency

That's what I am doing now

the thing is.. i am just entirely done with where i work.. like i go into work, and just kinda roll my eyes in my head when i think of the tedious uninspiring design i will be doing all day..

Employment agency, I mean

The current one I am at is not great

Next one is better tho

it has killed my drive, and actually made me hate the design i do..

As after I have worked 6 months for the people that hired me through the agency, I get to work there full time without the agency

i had to actually dumb down my design to fit their style... and it sucks! i like to feel challenged when i work
