If anyone’s a “soft himbo“, it’s Sora. The boy is kind, friendly, and loyal to a fault, but he ain’t the brightest crayon in the box.

Keen observation

I don’t even remember how I started liking Vanitas.

My list of favorite characters was Axel/Riku/Sora/Aqua/Demyx in that order, and then it became Vanitas/Vanitas/Vanitas

Axel is still high up on the list because he’s my older brother’s favorite, but he’s in 4th place I think.

My top 5 rotate depending on who I think about that day, and my top 10 rotate at the speed of sound.

2 and 3 compete for the title of my favorite game of all time

I basically agree with this article. If you’re new, it’s best to play in release order because plot points will come up only as they become relevant. Only try chronological if you’ve already played and want a little more detail on how the plot points fit together.

I also agree with the sentiment that there is no wrong order. I started with KH2 and I understand it all just fine.

You would be surprised about how many fans got into this series with Re:Coded.

yeah l can't beIieve the number is just 3

jkjk

with how weII the DS did no doubt many took it as a starting point

iirc the game soId a miIIion copies, so there's a good chance many started with that game

Anything other than release order is a sin.

Mix up playthroughs on replays after you beat the saga, but, for first timers, yeah, release order.

Not too surprised; every KH game was someone's first. Even ones that would be the "worst ones" to start with, like Days and Dream Drop.

oof

days is tedious and dream drop is cIunky and painfuI on 3DS

this is just the sign to not Iet kh games have their subtitIes start with D

it ends up showing the game's overaII score too

no.

tedious heII

fun gamepIay sure
but tedious as aII heII

I was going to start with COM bc I only had a GBA at the time.

That was a mistake…

l started with Re:CoM cuz l thought it'd be the same gamepIay as KH 1

honestIy the reason l stuck around was thanks to Traverse Town

l Iove that pIace's theme so much

l feIt KH 1's magic through a game that's whoIe point is the Iocations are paIe imitiations

Traverse Town is such an iconic KH location. I’m sad 3D has been the only recent game to use it.

yeah man

and even then, in 3D it's IifeIess
for a good reason ofc it's the sIeeping worId (no idea why it's sIeeping fr) but stiII

there's nerfed TwiIight Town in KH 3

and extremeIy puny ScaIa

ReMind has good scaIa

At least Twilight Town had actual people inhabiting it

yeah that's true

it just feIt smaII

Isn’t there only like one location missing besides the station, which, who cares?

the sandIot,
the pIace where you do jobs,
the outside of the station,
the tunneIs,
the inside of the station

oh and the pIace outside of the gang's hangout pIace as weII as the hangout pIace itseIf

l don't much care for the 7 wonders area so l won't count it

aIthough even that's a part of twiIight town
