KH appeals to people who grew up with the franchise, but KH3 is no darker than KH1 at a core. The darker themes are things that kids still understand and can recognise as dark, without ever veering into straight up not for kids entirely

Destroy the Heartless and Nobody, and the original person is recompleted

They’re basically dead. Once their heart is released from the Heartless, it goes on to whatever afterlife there is

You sure about that? There was no sign that the hearts being collected by Xemnas were going to reform into anyone.

Yes because it's been stated plenty of times releasing the heart is enough to return the person, Nomura specifies in an interview Nobodies are the complicating factor. The KH that Xemnas made also resulted in exceptional circumstances as stated by Nomura too

Well, I guess the takeaway here is that actually dying in KH is not an easy thing

It's more a vast majority of characters haven't been outright killed

In fact, some of them have been replicated lol
