well yeah he used all of them, but in an attempt to meet his goals. that doesnt mean he didnt have some form of respect for the ones he used

And he didn't want to throw away Roxas because he turned against Xemnas.

Roxas turned against Xemnas because Xemnas wanted to throw him away, basically.

he was very self absorbed though and his character rarely showed that kind of feeling towards his subordinates
