Yeah actually I was trying to recover mp but the whole not being able to run and jump while looking through items got me ?

KH is what taught me to get faster at menus

I never realized it until someone told me

The first part of the fight is so easy she you can just use magic and blocking

Then he just goes crazy

which makes me miss having the game in 30FPS cause you can abuse Dodge Roll like hell

and then have less landing lag to jump again

but for items, I usually set them in order what I would be likely to use
Potions -> Ethers
such that if i need an ether first, i can hit do:
Items -> down arrow -> ether

And he breaks out of the stunned animation during it

Personally, I do a lot of Strike Raid whilst sitting in the corner where you know you're safe after his super move

that plus a lot of attack parrying and dodge rolling work like a charm
projectiles can be blocked with Guard, while his slashes can be blocked with attacks cause you can get a few hits in and into a better position in case he does an extra attack

It's all about spacing and reading, no need to rush after all haha

Replaced the ars strat with sonic blade

Used Metal Chocbo and success

I'm just terrible at blocking his Darkness attacks

I know they are the same as the first phase but whenever he changes patterns I keep forgetting which attack comes first and miss the block

probably because equipment wasnt as all rounded in the later games

I guess also KH1 is more of a 'get hit and heal through it' rather than 'dont get hit'

fact. you will get hit for sure in KH1 unless you really got the strats down

which lowkey i like cause it makes the enemies feel useful beyond general fodder and the bosses more impactful
