The numbers do not indicate damage

Higher numbered cards are able to break lower numbered cards in play

Believe me this shit had me confused at first too

So for instance if an enemy attacks you with a 2 card right

And you use a 4 card while they're attacking

You cancel their attack and stun them

That's called a card break

If you try to play a lower value while another is being used against you, it’ll be put to waste

0's are high so it can break any value, but it can be broken right back if you play it at the wrong time

So 0s are special

0 cards can break any card in play, but any card can break it

So timing is key

I wouldn't worry too much about Damage nova, early game it doesn't matter
but if you are curious, damage is based on which keyblade card you have
I.e Kingdom Key is avg damage but something like Three Wishes will be a bit lower in damage

Does the recovery stat actually have a noticeable impact though? I never messed around with testing around it

Just as an FYI, the keyblade cards have atrributes like thrust and whatnot. I'll be honest with you. Those do not matter

and yeah it does but only for hard bosses does it really matter

I've played this game constantly and those have such minute impact

It's like, < 2 seconds worth of tiem

oh idk i feel like my damage goes up exponentially when i do it right

It's good if you know how it works

Recovery is based on how quickly sora can play a card again after he is broken

But it's not vital or anything
