and what mostly excited me enough to buy it for PS2 in 2007 or so

I jumped straight into it and it just was....sluggish

And it felt like a half assed job

The VA was odd, and it felt like they just muted the original game, slapped VA on it and put the music back in

The lip synch is so off it's like they never tried

It was only 14 months or so that it took them to release it, so it's easily because of a tight deadline

It has the KH2 cards because since it was bundled WITH KH2FM+, if you had KH2FM save data on your memory card you could get them

They were originally just a bonus easter egg sorta thing

Technically yes, but with the relationship between sora and roxas and the fact that both stories are happen along side each other, it makes sense that he gets keyblades from the "other side of his heart".
