Percy Jackson & The Olympains

Posted

Anyone else read Percy Jackson & The Olympains? I've read the all of them about 100 times. :3 If you've read them what's your opions on the books and the movie?

Personaly I love all the books but I really hated the movie cause they changed it way to much. :/

You summed it up perfectly for me. xD <3 They left so much out of that movie. Honestly, that wasn't how I'd pictured Camp Half-Blood, either. x.x I pictured a big wide open field. It looked all dark and gloomy in the movie. xD The books were awesome, though, even though I totally read them out of order. <3

I've read them all including the newest one (The Lost Hero). They're excellent indeed. Best series ever.

Oh I haven't heard of that one yet I'll be sure to look for it next time I'm out of town.

I LOVE the books. I think they kicked Harry Potter out of my second favorite series. lol

I've also read the Lost Hero. I think the movie would be alright if it wasn't based of these books..but since it is, it's pretty horrible. I really only watched it because of Logan Lerman and Jake Abel. xD

Anyways, I love the books. My favorite would have to be the third or the last book.

yeah they really kick butt and the movie wasnt that good i didnt like it but i did like logan lerman (percy) he sexy!!

i loved the books! :) but hated the movie the messed up alot and left a lot of things out....it made me sad...and the new one i cant wait to read :)

TECHNICALLY, that's not part of the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. xD It talks about Camp Half-Blood and Annabeth, Percy, and Grover, but it's a different series, like the Red Pyramid--it's in a different series (though I know that's a bad example because it's talking about Egyptian mythology). I SHOULD go get that book off my shelf.. two feet away.. but I'm lazy.

Awesome series to read. Nuff said.

I have to read the new series, I want to see if it's as good as the original. Hopefully my librarian got the book and no one took it out.

You mean "The Kane Chroncles"? I just finished the first one and it was awesome!

I'm talking about The Lost Hero from the brand new series The Heores of Olympus, which is written by the same author who wrote Percy Jackson and the Olympians. It's a spin-off series to it.

yeah the last hero is in the same universe but it's different you know?

My favorite one HAS to be without doubt between The Lost Hero, The Last Olympian, the Battle of the Labrynith, or the Lightening Thief. The Lightening Thief movie defitently would've been better if Ares was in the movie. I can't wait for The Son of Neptune to come out (the second book in the Heroes of Olympus series) Also The Red Pyramid was pretty awesome as well

I've seen the movie and just started reading the book (at the part right after they get back Ares' shield) and I agree the changed WAY too much in the movie and I'm glad I'm reading the book instead of just watching the movie cuz I didn't like it that much till I started reading the book! ^.^ (same with Harry Potter they alway take something out of the movie!)

Yeah, it's so annoying when they do that. It seems that whenever a movie is based off of a book they change it or take something out of it.

It's to make the person who's read the book get hooked into the movie becaus the scene was not in the book

The reason they do that, is because they can't fit EVERYTHING into the movie. If they did it would be 4 to 5 hours long...and that would get boring. I agree they left out quite a lot. But it was still somewhat enjoyable.

I agree with Jesus Freak. The movie was somewhat enjoyable, but not as good as the book. I wish that in the movie, instead of dragging the part with the Lotus Casino for so long, they should've put in the fight between Percy and Ares

Percy Jackson and the Olympians is the substitute for harry potter when your done reading it.

Basicially yeah. Both the Harry Potter series and the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series are indeed epic, except for Percy Jackson and the Olympians series will end up being more than 7 books if you include The Lost Hero, The Son of Neptune, and the other books that come after that
