"Can you spare a heart?" Coincidence, or not?

Posted

I don't think there was a thread on this before, but remember in the Final battle of Kingdom Hearts 2 Xemnas says "Can you spare a heart?" After finding out about Vens fate I've always wondered if

Xemnas wanted Vens heart from Sora. I'm sure he knew Sora had it, it's not hard to put two and two together after seeing Roxas and knowing he's Soras nobody.

I mean, Xemnas was searching for the Chamber of Waking in Castle Oblivion, it often makes me wonder what his exact motives were. perhaps he wanted to recreate the X-Blade again, as he had memorys of MX (some at least) and possibly some of the 'seeds MX planted', or if Terras memorys of his friends were influencing Xemnas enough to make him want them back.

Thoughts? Do you think that line was purely a coincidence and I'm just overthinking things, or did Xemnas have a greater motive in the battle with Sora and Riku?

hmmm..... could be, but maybe his memories slowly came back through out the days in the org.

Nah. I don't know. I don't think Xemnas is that epic.... lol

Well, his main motove was to have kingdom hearts with only hate and rage. So he pretty much used the other members especially Roxas to do it. Although yeah he did show to have a little side of Terra. But that was because his former self still had some memories of Terra (and Xehanort of course). So when he said "Can you spare a heart?" he is actually talking about Kingdom Hearts itself. He wasn't referring to Ventus in any specific way.

Actually, during that attack, he really was trying to extract Sora's heart. Hmm... Makes me wonder what would happen if I just let Xemnas push Riku around and not try to help Sora...

simple , you'd lose and start over.

i know it haeppend to me TWICE (coz i wasn't use to riku's controlls -.-)

Oh, but he is. Just read my signature.

Mates, as this was a personal quote of mine has it become a famous quote of Xemnas himself. As we are extreme KH fans we would have the over-thinking of whether it was MX talking, or Terra. Who do I think? Xehanort. If it were Terra talking, it would be instead of "Can you spare a heart?" to something along the lines of "Do you remember me?" or "I'm sorry." something directly to Ventus and not Sora himself. Then again, as I myself am corrupted by KH fanboy-ism, I am pondering on his quote "Can you spare A heart." instead of "Give me your heart." or etc.
