You know how in the beginning of the movie Tim was trying to catch a Cubone because his friend told him that Cubone is the perfect partner?

It's because both Cubone and Tim have lost their mothers

all they need to do now is one with an actual trainer that goes for the league

Yea they can easily do that with the same world! Just don’t try to re create ash. I think them doing a brand new trainer in this same time 20 years after ash, would be awesome
