I loved Wonder Woman a lot

If there's a WW3, please do it in modern times

Ofc it's not a perfect film, but it really does rank above a lot of the mcu for me

I have one gripe with the first WW movie and it's the third act

Everything was going well until the Ares comes into the picture

I especially loved btw that the background soldiers were Indian and Caribbean. Because Britain lives to forget that the colonies fought in WW1/2

Yeah it's a common dislike

The lesson Diana learned didn't really matter because she was right all along that Ares was behind it

And it kinda soured it

The rest was solid

Hopefully the third act in WW84 is better

Personally, the rest of it was entertaining enough for me to not be bothered by that

Ares planting the idea is great. It's just that after Diana is done with him, all of the problems are gone

Well ww2 still happens

Which kinda took away from the lesson that "war is on humanity, not the gods"

Because there is no good or bad guy for World War 1

Which is why I loved Wonder Woman up until the Ares death. Moment he died, the grey area of good and bad didn't matter because they all stopped when he died.

Tbf I think it's rather difficult to try and get a real narrative for "all the grey in between" in a short film, it's much easier to just have a generic villain

I'm not defending the decision, but the third act isn't any better or worse than basically every other superhero film

Yeah, that's true. But I feel like if they had nailed it, then they would have had something really unique in their hands rather than a big bad being the cause and end to it all.

Oh yeah, I really liked the actor choice for Ares

Although not a fan of the mustache being kept when in armor
