I was a 50/50 but most of the nostalgia came from disney

its not like the street that prompts you to leave the world is blocked, its open, but its just an invisible wall

like when I first played kh2 what I remember vividly isn't it's story it's walking out of the house in twilight town and seeing donald and goofy

and mickey reviving me

it was until I actually got older and replayed and understood the games that I started getting more attached to the characters

obviously I was attached to them even as a kid but I didn't understand much of anything

Like it honestly felt like a betrayal of my trust to have square reveal scala as the last world, to give it this mysterious reveal and to just, not make it explorable at all

i even was okay with not exploring radiant garden (the ff character were what made me mad there)

like the thing that got me was just twilight town and scala

these two worlds that have a big feeling of scope and scale, and they barely let you explore the one, and dont let you explore the other
