so it was gonna be that the keyblade, in its base form, takes on aspects from the master of the keyblade wielder.
We haven't seen MoM's true keyblade yet, we know he made no name, but as far as I know at least, that's not his true keyblade.
So the idea was that, MoM's keyblade has the same, or similar keychain to the starlight. And he was also the Master of Eraqus, Xehanort, and co. So they had the starlight too, just with a different appearance.

That would've extended to Sora and Riku, because their master would've been Mickey. We haven't seen Mickey's true keyblade tho, we've seen him with kingdom key d, the one yensid gave him that I can't remember the name of, and a combo of the two. But none of them have been his keyblade. So, the idea was that Mickey being a sort of master to Sora and Riku, despite it being moreso Yen Sid, would have influenced the keychain of their base keyblade

but that's wrong because sora gets the kingdom key before he meets mickey, and the kingdom key d has it before mickey

and the kingdom key was rikus in the first place

I like your initial idea

Master gives his students a basic keyblade, in this case the starlight-look-alike, then they develop their own later on

Eraqus was passed down with Masters Keepers which later went down to Aqua

Xehanort took No Name for himself

But they both should have another of their own keyblade

It's just that with the Sora and Riku thing, those two are base form keyblades with the same keychain. But Sora got it on his own, and Riku we don't know who he got it from, Mickey or Yen Sid. Both of which we don't know their true keyblades form, and if it'd have a similar keychain

Riku got his from Terra initially, as in BBS Terra did the whole ceremony with him

cause Kingdom Key is Riku's true keyblade

And Braveheart is Riku's final one

also I believe Vanitas' is called void gear, and the one we can use is just a monochrome version of it

The actual one doesn't have a name

Even in that data book we got earlier this year didn't have a name for it
