Has anybody else considered that the cutscenes at the beginning of the limitcut where Riku is telling the Radiant Garden crew what everyone else has been doing that it could open up storylines for the year that Soras gone? The usual storylines usually happen in around a year and in this case we get 5, those being: The Wayfinder trio in the realm of darkness, Kairi in the realm of sleep, The Twilight Town trio in a datascape of some sort, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy in all the worlds Soras been to before, and whatever Riku has been doing.

We will probably get three new games announced at e3, like we had in 2007 with days, birth by sleep and coded.
It might be a BBS2, DDD2 and KH4.

Very interesting theories. And it would be quite funny if, by any chance, each group "accidentally" discover clues related to KH:UX, Luxu and the Foretellers. That's a very interesting point. During this year the good guys have been looking for Sora, what have Luxu/Xigbar been doing in the meantime? And what about Maleficent and Pete? I highly doubt they just sit and wait for the gang to rescue Sora so the main story can continue.

I'm very intrigued to see what'll be coming next, and I did remember reading that Nomura mentioned that before KHIV, there's one more bridge game he wanted to make that would bridge the gap from III to IV. So maybe this interlude game could tackle these different threads presented in Re:Mind?

All we know for now is that Dark Road will expand on Xehanort’s past, and the game that bridges the gap to KH4. Right now, let’s just wait to see what develops.

Hopefully we get some Switch ports of HD 1.5+2.5 along the way.

It would be pretty rad to be able to play KH on the Switch! Aaand an opportunity to promote Sora for Smash Bros!
