I dont see that line as a criticism of the VAs

The translation is super bad

It's quite literal for advent children too

They said dilly dally and mosey in FF7R too

The lip sync is awful

It's just bad in AC because it was so random

Sakurai, the JP voice for Cloud has pretty much the same performance in advent children but he never gets attacked for it
