I do think this is an interesting thing to think about

I am curious if this was done in a cold reading, similar to what happened in the remake

Maybe with more prep time they could have delivered it better

When should you make your character speak so that it flows better with the scene but might be out of character for him, or should you keep his reactions in character?

Sad thing about dubbed anime and games, they don't really have a lot of space to add stuff they want here and there to fit something better

Steins;Gate is a rare one that was allowed to do it

But I haven't seen anything else doing it

Yeah but I think they translated more to the "spirit" of the original rather than the letter

A lot of older dubs/translations took liberties

I kinda want them to give the VAs time to prep more, cold readings aren't always great

Especially if you have a bad director
