I mean gamemechanic wise it's not too different from the remake it's just turn based

honestly

i had no clue what to do after 20 hours of gameplay so it's a me issue for sure

Interesting all I can think of is you hit attack and then select magic if you want

Maybe use an item here and there a potion

It's not a difficult game you can get by with just attack most of the time

it's sort of similar to fire emblem and smt for me where the menus kinda make no sense, ff14 is sorta like that too

14 is like a different genre entirely thing an MMO so things are going to be a little bit more confusing understandably

It took me a few months to gather myself on everything

But maybe after getting used to the Remake the og could be a little more understanding the menu is pretty much exactly the same

maybe idk

Although of P somebody doesn't like turn based you're probably most likely not going to enjoy it

the dialogue, story and everything made no sense to me either

eh, I like most of the turn based stuff I play

smt is the main exception in terms of franchises

i love ff8 combat a lot

I want to at least play through 8 once in my life

I have a hard time doing it because I know it scales with the level

ye 8 is weird

but when i learned the combat, it became one of my favorite ff combat systems personally

despite how broken it is
