Why did Roxas leave the Winner stick for Axel?

 

Played Days? Spoiled it? Then you'd probably know about all the shit that went down between Roxas and Axel over the course of the game. They went through a lot, and I mean, A LOT of ups and downs, and their friendship supposedly broke apart once Roxas left the Organization. Which leads to the question, why did Roxas leave the stick for Axel?

 

I first posed this question in the "Were you saddened by Xion's death" thread, but I feel this deserves a thread of it's own. A few possibilities I've come up with:

 

- We're still friends, so I want to give you this to remember me by.

- It's been rough, but I feel like I owe you something, so here.

- Keep this safe for me. I'll be back for it later.

- I won't be needing it anymore, so giving it to you would be better than throwing it away.

- Here douchebag, I bet you feel like a winner now, don't you?

 

etc, etc...

 

So, discuss? What do you think was his reason for leaving it behind? Or just share whatever reason you can come up with, whether you're serious or just joking.

Even though that their frendship basicially was crushed, Axel was still Roxas' friend to me so as a parting gift as Roxas left the Organization, he gave Axel the Winner stick

It's hard to interperate what Roxas meant by giving the Winner stick to Axel, but I'd like to think it was a parting gift to Axel, something to show that no matter what happens their bond will still stay. They will still remain friends, despite all that happened. Yeah, Roxas was mad when he left the organization, but that doesn't mean he felt that his bond with Axel was broken, despite all that happened. That's what I'd like to think, anyway.

Roxas found the winner stick when Axel left for CO. He(Roxas) was always meaning to give it to him(Axel), but never got around to it. I guess Roxas felt it was the right time to give it to him.

I think Roxas meant it as a combination of the first two, but when Axel found it, it kinda looked like he was thinking Roxas gave it to him for the fifth reason.

I first saw it as dark humor. You're a winner. You basically had your friend put to death and had the other one walk out on you. Congratu-firetruckin-lations.

But now I think kinda differently. Roxas hated Axel, and so he left with Axel the only token of their friendship that he could leave behind before setting off after Xemnas.

I think Roxas gave him the WINNER stick because he wants Axel to take care of it, since Roxas wants all three of them (him, Axel, and Xion) to have ice-cream again when they reunite.

I think maybe Roxas gave it to Axel because he thought it was a symbol of their friendship, so by giving it too him maybe he was saying that he didn't wanna be friends any more?

 

Or maybe he was worried that when he left Axel would forget him, just like he was forgetting Xion, so he gave he the WINNER stick to Axel remember him by.

I belive that Roxas left Axel the winner stick as a parting gift/gift in perse.As in "See?You're a winner after all." Or something like that.As it for Axel to know that even though Roxas is leaving,they'll still somehow be friends.That when Roxas finds Sora and fixes all of this,(Like Roxas was planning on doing but never actually happened),they would go back to eat ice-cream and seeing sunsets in the top of the clock tower.

I think Stardustblade is right, why else would he leave it?

I'm pretty sure he just wanted to make Axel regret for what he had done. You know, something to make him think. And I'm pretty sure it worked, lol
