I got so done with AC when I heard that they killed off the main antagonist that transcends the entire timeline in a comic

like, i'll give them this much: that trailer was probably the best one in terms of actually giving me an idea of what the movie's about. knowing that the characters switch places and also have a bad guy to fight is nice, but this one definitely gave more of a feel for the bigger story

that being said: if there's 3 protagonists, why is it still being presented as a "brie larson capt. marvel movie (plus 2 sidekicks)"?

¯_(ツ)_/¯

Well the problem is is that they spent 15 or whatever years pushing each Marvel movie as the next big thing/pop culture moment that now, when they actually really need something to pop off, everyone is burnt out and skeptical.

Echo is a good example- interesting character, lots of potential, but everyone is gonna watch Loki more cause he's a guaranteed quality, uh, thing- to these people. Now, everyone assumes* all the Marvel stuff is gonna run together and feel samey when (not *much but still) recently they've been trying to diversifying the writing and the content of their projects.

Tl;dr Marvel is on the decline and it makes Disney really sad, rip plays Boulevard of Broken Dreams on mandolin

why did that just autopIay in my head

the onIy probIem I have with that is weII
most of the recent show's biggest issues were the writing

orrr the vfx

iirc the onIy one that didn't have that issue fuII force was moon knight

but what if we waIked this IoneIy road... together

Yeah but tbh, even though that's a glaring issue, to the mass-market casual consumer, that'd be considered a nitpick.

Once that started getting picked up by the casual audience, that's when Disney was in trouble lol

🫲 😳

That's the other thing too,

not just the movies, the TV shows- every new show, and there's like what 4 a year? Is a 12-24 episode thing that they kept churning out and placing importance upon that now, ironically, we're back to where we were Pre-MCU

Which is: The only thing people genuinely care about is Spider-Man 😂

yeahhhh

his movies aren't even that good honestIy

they're fine but somehow that manages to better than a Iot of what was reIeased recentIy from the mcu

Who knows maybe Deadpool 3 is gonna rock our socks off, apparently Wolverine and Toby-Spider-Man are gonna be the focus of the next crossover but like

Really?

You have to dig up Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, and Tony Maguire''s Spider-Man for your next big crossover??

You HAVE your Spider-Man you just booked him like a complete geek lmao

Did they completely just lose fair in Captian Marvel and Miss Marvel??

Whoa, whoa, WHOA

I mean the tom hoIIand ones 😌

not the maguire or garfieId ones LOL

I think TASM 2 is.... fine but

at Ieast I did rewatch it once

I haven't done that for any of hoIIand's movies sadIy
