vs 13 issue was largely due to how bad ffxiv 1.0 was that square enix had to shit on alot of games by pulling every devs (including nomura's vs 13 team and kh main team) to fix ffxiv. so blame that on wada.

FF started as turn based. Shying away from its roots and being embarrassed by it is dumb.
