I got so done with AC when I heard that they killed off the main antagonist that transcends the entire timeline in a comic

please don't laugh but I actually had a case like this in one of my first guilds

laughsinnomura

but it was a guy

not a woman

dude was depressed because he got divorced and his ex didn't want him to meet his children

during one raid night he was drunk

Am I reading this right, you need to pay the FF14 sub and the Gamepass sub?

If it is then this is just really weird, I thought this was the reason Yoshida said no to this game coming to Xbox 10 years ago

Like what's the difference between then and n ow

FFXIV on Xbox is still better than not having FFXIV on Xbox. It's definitely a Microsoft issue and if they don't want to change their stance there's nothing SE can do about it unless the sub is part of gamepass.

Yeah I don't really agree on that. Having to pay two subs just to play one game is a very stupid thing and it sucks Square allowed it to happen.

if xbox players have to pay both then microsoft lost a lot of my respect

This is as much on Square as it Xbox

Especially when the initial reason it didn't come up on the console was for that specific reason

So backtracking like this is disappointing to hear

there's nothing SE can do about it in that case

There is, they are the ones with the most succesful MMO out there

They can absolutely negotiate it out

They did it with Sony

Which will be another issue

If they really allow this with Microsoft then this will absolutely happen with Sony too later down the line

I personally assume the sub will be included in gamepass but that would be unfair for ps players

they should use the same model as on ps imo

keep the sub and remove the gamepass requirement

maybe Square Enix gets a fixed amount of money like other gamepass games and gamepass users get the sub for free

which would be insanely dumb on microsofts side because they will benefit less from it than SE

I doubt that there will be a lot of xbox players in XIV

xbox is just not a jrpg platform

this entire thing is just so poorly managed. This would be so fascinating if all this stuff gets leaked

because from what I have read they don't believe even in gamepass

gamepass will meet the same fate as netflix

why wouId they

it’s too good

yeah it has subs but bro

it’s making so IittIe money with how absurdIy cheap it is

yep and at some point they will run out of games and getting games for gamepass will become more expensive unless it's indie

mhm

AAA games take longer and longer to produce

and get more expensive

and exclusivity is gonna die too

mhm

I don’t

want xbox to die man

not for them necessariIy but aIso just

it's definitely bad because it means playstation will have a monopoly

pIaystation is aIready so up itseIf if xbox disappears they’II be abIe to do ANYTHING

yep

$100 game?? SURE WHAT ELSE YOU GONNA DO

RGG just pulled that off by having NG+ in the deluxe edition
